I have been practicing Chinese medicine for the past 15 years with a prior background in massage therapy and hypnotherapy. Anita Alexandra, LAc, holds a Diplomate in Acupuncture from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Denver, CO and has been certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 1998. Her undergraduate work was in English and the Biological Sciences. She owned and operated a massage therapy practice in Breckenridge, CO from 1989-1997 and practiced Chinese Medicine in Frisco, CO from 1998-2010. Other professional training includes hypotherpy certification from the National Holistic Institute, two years of acupressure training, shiatsu, Swedish massage techniques, deep tissue, reflexology and Reiki energy treatments. Her current clinical practice covers most areas of treatment with a special focus on pain management, women's health and chronic illness.
